Catering Equipment with ‘Back to Base’ Warranty
You the customer must cover the cost in freighting the item back to the supplier for repair or replacement. Please ensure that the item is well packaged as neither Hopkins, the Manufacturer or the Courier will accept any responsibility for any loss or damage caused due to poor packaging when the item is in transit.
Please contact Hopkins to obtain a returns number for your parcel from the manufacturer. You will need to fill out a warranty request form which requires your signature and a purchase order number where applicable. This can be down loaded here. If you would like the form sending by other means please contact us on the main number.
Advantage: Your equipment will be fixed free of charge when the fault is due to manufacturer error
Disadvantage: You will be without your equipment while it is repaired
Catering Equipment with ‘Parts only Warranty’
You the customer must cover the engineer and labour costs associated with repair of your equipment. Faulty parts are replaced at the Manufacturers discretion. Any work carried out on equipment must be done so by qualified engineers. Proof of qualified status may be requested before any parts are issued; otherwise the warranty may be invalidated.
Advantage: You will not be without your equipment while it is repaired
Disadvantage: You have to organise your own repair at your own costs
Catering Equipment with ‘On Site’ or ‘Parts and Labour’ Warranty
This means you the customer will not incur any charges relating to the repair of your catering equipment providing the equipment has been installed and maintained by suitably qualified engineers. This type of warranty usually excludes consumable parts such as bulbs, knobs and glass.
Please note, if the equipment fails within its warranty period and any unauthorised work is carried out by an engineer not appointed by the Supplier or the Manufacturer, the warranty will automatically be invalidated.

Advantage: An engineer will come to your premises and repair your equipment
Disadvantage: There is no disadvantage to a full warranty. Standard response times are normally within 48 working hours.
Warranty on Gas Equipment
Please note: Any goods that are powered by gas and have been installed into a mobile catering outlet such as, but not limited to, a catering trailer, in which case the Company's obligation is limited to the free of charge supply of spare parts. It is not the obligation of Hopkins sales operatives to ask where any equipment is going to be installed.
Spare Parts Warranty
Any faulty parts must be reported to HCE within a 6 month period from purchase. A report must be included from the engineer or customer stating the nature of the fault and date of purchase.

All warranties are at the discretion of the manufacturer. For full warranty terms and conditions please contact the manufacturer or Hopkins who will do so on your behalf. Hopkins accepts no responsibility for manufacturer’s warranties other than their own at any time.
In all cases warranty only applies if the equipment has been used in a professional manor following the manufacturer’s instructions and guide lines.
Warranties are void if maintenance requirements as termed by the manufacturer are not fully complied with.
Warranties are void if equipment is subject to misuse or unauthorised repair.
In all cases no warranty is held on consumables.
