
4 Pan Island Range
Hopkins Catering Equipment were recently happy to instal a new 4 pan island range and counter for Mr Richard Ward at Queens Drive in Ossett.
Mr Ward chose Hopkins as he is an long established customer with our equipment in his other shops. When he aqcuired the site a competitors range was exsisting but in need of replacement. So he came to us.
Due to the current high cost of gas the high efficiency range was selected.
Mr Ward has told us;
I am saving 60% on my previous energy bills since having the new generation 4 frying range installed reducing my outgoings by thousands of pounds!
Whilst the range was fit my Hopkins Catering the fit of the restaurant was completed by elite shop fitters to the highest standard and the result is a fantastic looking shop with the lowest possible energy bills!
3 Pan High Efficiency Counter Range
Hopkins recently installed a 3 pan Generation 4 High Efficiency counter range at the Mermaid Fish Bar in Leeds.
Owner George opted for the Hopkins range due to the excellent value for money it represents as well as the overall performance and good looks.
The range was manufactured with brushed stainless steel curved glass fish displays, laser cut illuminated light boxes and curved stainless steel panels to the customer side to give the “wow” factor to his customers.
George also said that the range cooks and recovers much quicker than his old range as well as using far less gas.
The boost facility is especially useful in busy periods!
The shop fit was carried out by Elite Shop fitters with mosaic style tiling and even a shark image in the ceiling!
Bespoke 2 Pan Electric Wall Range
Hopkins Catering where approached by Ironbridge Gorge Museum in Telford with a photograph.
The museum includes a recreated Victorian town which is going through a massive £12 million development. The museum was looking for a traditional working fish and chip range to complete the Fried Fish Dealers shop.
A bespoke 2 pan electric wall range was faithfully recreated. Visitors to the museum can buy traditionally made fish and chips from museum staff dressed in Victorian costume.
Staff have commented ‘The range looks so authentic’.

4 Pan Island Range
Mr Jamie Wilkinson of the Drakes chain of shops recently bought a Hopkins Generation 4 high efficiency 4 pan Island Range with service counter for his shop in Leeds.
Mr Wilkinson chose the Hopkins range because of the potential cost savings over his old one and the value for money it represents, as well as the second to none back up service we provide at his shops.
He said “I am very happy we chose Hopkins as I am already saving £150 per week on my gas bill and the recovery and speed of frying is phenomenal,
I may have to fit this equipment in more of my shops! “
3 Pan Counter Range
Following an enquiry on the Hopkins website we visited Mr Carmine Licciardi of Kempston, Bedford who required supply and installation of equipment for his new takeaway.
Subsequently we were happy to accept his order for a standard 3 Pan Counter Range with underfloor ducting, stainless steel wall cladding, a large extraction canopy, various items of catering equipment and refrigeration,
and a hotcupboard built bespoke to the customers dimensions.
Mr Licciardi went with our proposal because of the attractive curved range frontage with laser cut branded illuminated pillars which gave the right image of quality and style for the shop, and because of the well deserved reputation of our company for high quality and unrivalled back up service as well as a fair price!

Mobile Range
Hopkins Catering Equipment were happy to recently supply a 4 pan multi purpose frying range to 4SURE Trailers of Corby , Northants.
They incorporated the range into a 22’ trailer for the Axholme Friery of the Isle of Man where it is now open for business!
The customer has used equipment from another manufacturer in the past and commented that the Hopkins range whilst providing 50% more output, actually uses less than half the gas that the old equipment did and he couldn’t be happier with his choice!

Mr Fantousi saw a high efficiency range in operation and decided that it was the perfect range for his shop. He wanted more capacity with the same number of pans that he had previously.

Traditional 3 Pan Counter Range
Hopkins Catering Equipment recently installed a traditional 3 pan counter range at Andy’s Golden Fry in paisley near Glasgow.
The customer Mr Andrew Spears wanted a high quality range with a flexible design and a distinctive appearance at a reasonable price, and after shopping around decided that our product was the best value for money!
This is Andrew’s second shop and he has maintained the red and white corporate look from the first one. We were happy to incorporate this colour scheme into the range front using white laminate panels and red LED downlighters, which combined with a polished stainless steel finish makes for an impressive looking Frying Range!

T Quality Fast Food Show 2009
Hopkins Catering Equipment recently attended the T Quality / Fry magazine southern fast food show at Farnborough exhibition centre.
The new flat top version of our highly successful Generation 4 High Efficiency range was exhibited for the first time and drew lots of attention from the large crowd and even one or two orders were placed.
There was a strong campaign to “Buy British” from NARM – the National Association of Range Manufacturers of which we are a long standing member and the feedback from customers was very promising.

Traditional 3 Pan Counter Range
High Efficiency Counter Range
Heidi and Dean Rockett of Smith Central fish and chip shop in Lincoln have recently taken delivery of their new Hopkins Generation 4 High Efficiency counter range.
They bought the shop a year ago and there was an existing 4 pan wall range with l shaped counter which did not seem to them to make the best use of the large shop area. It was also using a huge amount of gas so they decided to look around for new equipment which would best solve the problem.
Having had a factory tour to see our Ranges being manufactured to the highest standards and following a visit to a local restaurant who have a similar range which saves 55% on their fuel bill there was no contest and the order was placed with Hopkins.
They chose a 4 pan counter range with extra wide pans finished in a combination of Bright Polished and Satin finish stainless steel with curved glass fish displays, vertical pillars laser cut with the “Smith Central” brand, and curved stainless steel panels, finishing touches included blue LED downlighters and blue illumination in the pillars.
On the first day of operation Mr Rockett commented on the fast but gentle initial warmup and the high speed frying with excellent recovery.
He Described the equipment as "Absolutely Magic!!"
And having tasted the end result he really knows about frying!!
4 Pan Generation 4 High Efficiency Range
Hopkins were recently chosen by Gretna Fish And Chicken Bar (known locally as “Nando’s” for many years) to supply a replacement for their ageing Frank Ford 4 pan counter range.
After much consideration the customer decided that the combination of outstanding economy, unique good looks, high quality, unrivalled back up service and excellent value provided by us was the best solution for them and the order was placed.
The installation proved challenging as the ducting had to be routed within the building and through the 2 storeys above theshop containing flats but was completed on time and to the customer’s satisfaction.
A 4 pan Hopkins Generation 4 High Efficiency with an L-shaped counter was installed after a full refit in the shop. Blur LED downlightersand “NANDOS” branded columns were used with curved stainless steel panels and contrasting stainless steel finishes giving a stunningeffect!

3 Pan Flat Top High Efficiency Counter Range
Andrew Carter and partner Caroline Burgess approached us recently to provide a design for the new Fish and Chip shop they were hoping to open in Eastbourne on the south coast.
The plan we provided was submitted to the planning authorities and was subsequently accepted. Hopkins were very pleased to then win the order from Andrew and Caroline at the T Quality Farnborough show where they first checked out the competition and decided that we provided the best solution to suit their needs at a fair price!!
We provided a 3 pan flat top Generation 4 High Efficiency counter range and installed an Electrostatic Precipitator and Odour Neutraliser to satisfy the emissions control requirements of the local authorities.
We also supplied Hopkins chipper and peeler, fish fridge, stainless steel sinks and tabling, bains marie, chest freezers, and a Pura fat filtration machine. Within a week of opening Andrew and Caroline are the busiest shop in Eastbourne!

High Efficiency Island Range
TRAWLER DRIGHLINGTON 5 PAN ISLAND RANGE AND SERVICE COUNTER
Hopkins Catering Equipment were pleased to win the order to supply a 5 pan Generation 4 High Efficiency island range and matching counter for Mr Martin Bray of the Trawler fish and chip shop in Drighlington near Leeds.
Mr Bray has the well deserved reputation of providing some of the finest fish and chips in the area and the 3 pan counter range previously used could not cope with the queues of thirty or more people that regularly built up at peak times!!
Due to the outstanding back up service provided by us over the past few years and the excellent value for money of the new Hopkins high efficiency range which uses 40% less gas than the traditional version.
To match the colour scheme in the shop Mr Bray chose yellow trim for the counter and green LED lighting from the many colour choices or stainless steel finishes we offer.
We would expect the gas usage for the shop to stay at the old levels even though the pans have gone from three to five.
We wish Mr Bray all the best for the future and hope that the addition of a restaurant seating area will increase his business even more!
3 Pan Flat Top High Efficiency
Hopkins were recently approached to quote for equipment to be installed in a new fish and chip shop in Monmouth south Wales by Mr Darryl Hancock and were happy to go along to visit him. We measured up the shop and provided Mr Hancock with a CAD layout drawing with our recommendation for Frying and Preparation equipment.
Against strong competition from other manufacturers we were happy to win the business with our outstanding 3 pan flat top High Efficiency counter range which was built around a supporting pillar in the middle of the shop!
This was no problem for our factory to carry out as our ranges our built bespoke to any requirements a customer may have.
We were also happy to supply our HC1chipper and HP25/56 peeler as well as some other equipment.
On the opening day Mr Hancock was happy to find the shop packed out all day long and far exceeded his expectation selling around 20 bags of potatoes in his first opening and business has continued to be excellent!

3 Pan High Efficiency Counter Range
Hopkins were recently approached to quote for the supply of a new fish and chip frying range by Mrs Fevzi of Farnham in Surrey.
We were happy to be selected as the preferred manufacturer and received the order for a 3 pan Generation 4 High Efficiency counter range.
Mrs Fevzi prefers to blanch her chips and anticipated a high output requirement, so extra wide 28” pans and open top layout each pan able to accommodate 4 baskets were chosen.
The front of the range was required to be slightly different to the usual design we use, with narrower curved panels and no illuminated columns, and the “Kingfish” logo was created by combining polished and brushed stainless steel to give a “bolero” style. Blue LED downlighters finish off the look.
The new business has proved to be highly successful since opening in January with the range proving to be exactly what was needed to fulfil the customer’s requirements! We wish Mrs Fevzi all the best for the future
3 Pan High Efficiency Flat Top Range
Hopkins where recently approached by Mr Benico Zeniou of Southport to quote for the supply of an island range for his new fish restaurant.
A high efficiency 3 pan range with a flat top for basket frying was chosen and subsequently installed over 2 days by Hopkins experienced in house team of engineers.
The brand new restaurant has been completed with a fantastic modern look and seating area.
Business has been brisk since opening in September 2009 and Mr Zeniou has proudly been awarded 5 stars for food hygiene.

3 Pan High Efficiency Counter Range with a Flat Top
Having shopped around for a new range to replace the old one in their long established shop in Preston, Mr and Mrs Clarkson asked us to come along to measure and provide a quotation to supply. We were happy to do this of course and visited them immediately!
The couple had been using the blanching method to fry crispy chips for many years with a traditional style frying range with hinged lids, and were keen to see what we could provide to improve their current production system and also save money.
The Generation 4 High Efficiency range was the obvious choice, open top for basket frying is the perfect option for blanching and finishing off for either single baskets in quiet times or three at a time when busy. Also compared to the old “Duoflam” burner systems the Hopkins High Efficiency system has proved time and again to save 40 – 60% on fuel bills.
A month after installation Mr & Mrs Clarkson are delighted with the new system and have already seen gas consumption decrease!
3 Pan High Efficiency with L shaped Counter
Hopkins were approached by Ideal Catering Equipment of Greenwich (www.ideal-catering.co.uk) to supply a new range for a fish and chip shop they were fitting out in New Addington near Croydon along with a Chinese take a way next door.
We were commissioned to design, supply and install a 3 pan high efficiency hinged lid range with L-Shaped counter and built in wet well Bains Marie.
The range was provided with curved stainless steel front panels and vertical columns laser cut with the customer’s “COD TO BE” branding and blue illumination both on the front of the range and also on the end seen through the shopfront window.
The end result is a great looking range in a professionally finished shop.

4 Pan High Efficiency Hinged Lid Counter Range
Hopkins Catering equipment were recently approached by Mr Adam Fogarty of Harry Heywood’s in Huddersfield to supply a new frying range after unfortunately suffering a fire at his premises.
We were chosen to supply the new range due to the excellent value for money and unbeatable quality offered by our high efficiency range. We were able to manufacture and install the equipment within 4 weeks so the downtime for the shop was minimised.
Adam is a bit of a celebrity having been a Professional Heavyweight Boxer, Professional Rugby League Player for St Helen’s and also appearing in the guy Ritchie movie “Snatch” where his character of Gorgeous George had the misfortune of being killed by one punch whilst fighting with Brad Pitt starring as a gypsy bare knuckle fighter!!
The shop is now completely renovated and has reopened much to the relief of the local customers who have been missing the best fish and chips in the area.
There was a queue outside the shop at 11.00am on the re-opening day patiently waiting for their “cooked to order” high quality Haddock and Chips!!

3 Pan Multi Purpose Frying Range and Extraction Canopy
We were recently awarded the order to supply and install a new 3 pan multi-purpose frying range by Mr David Curley, owner of The Fish Shed in Exeter.
Mr Curley started his business selling fresh fish and shellfish literally from a shed at the Dart’s Shopping Village near Exeter and soon found that there was a market for high quality cooked fish.
Initially using small deep fat fryers, The Fish Shed offer deep fried (or for a healthier option griddled) fresh fish straight from the local boats, with traditional mushy peas and home made tartare sauce!
Business was so good that proper frying equipment was needed but with very little room available the obvious choice was the Hopkins multi-purpose/ mobile range (usually used in catering trailers) with extraction canopy above.
Business is still expanding rapidly and the new range is perfect for the job!

3 Pan Multi Purpose Range and Extraction Canopy
Mr Moni Bashir of Hunter’s Barbeque in Manchester recently renovated his Fast Food restaurant in Manchester city centre and Hopkins was awarded the order to manufacture a large extraction canopy, a 3 pan multi purpose frying range and a bespoke heated window display with curved glass fish racks, wetwell bains marie and hotcupboard under. We also supplied a large char grill, two kebab grills, a Hopkins HC1 chipper, a Hopkins HP25/56 peeler and an eyeing tank.
The premises have been transformed by a full shop re-fit and having re-opened with the addition of fish and chips to the menu, business is booming!

Financing for the new range and catering equipment was provided by Mark Johnson of Johnson Reed finance and he is pictured with Mr Bashir on the day of handover.
Johnson Reed are specialists in the funding of this type of equipment.
4 Pan Hi Efficiency Island Range
Hopkins Ltd. were pleased to secure the order from CJ’s Fish & Chips in Doncaster to design and install the catering equipment for a food court based Fish & Chip Shop in the towns busy Frenchgate Centre.
Owner, Gary Job opted for a 4 Pan Hi Efficiency Island Range after reading about the energy savings he could expect to receive. Also included was a bespoke serving counter designed with integrated appliances, a curved stainless steel frontage, polished pillars and blue down lighting.
The layout of the kitchen was designed to ensure natural flow and ease of use in extremely busy periods. Multi award winning Executive Chef, Martin Bilby said “This all makes for a very comfortable working environment. The Hopkins range is by far the best I’ve used” adding that the handy boost facility and quick recovery time ensured that his products always cooked both evenly and consistently.

4 Pan High Efficiency Island Range
Longstanding Hopkins customer Kevin Duce having acquired Al’s fish bar in Redhill, Surrey decided to completely renovate the premises and make the shop far more customer friendly. Kevin and his brother Martin eventually chose Elite Shopfitters ( www.eliteshopfittersleeds.co.uk ) to carry out some fairly major structural work to give a larger customer space within the shop and also to design and install a totally new and very stylish interior and shopfront.
Having invested in the best possible fit out it was also decided to install the best frying equipment, and Hopkins won the order for a 4 pan island range with a recently restyled curved top and the best of modern High Efficiency technology.
Mr Duce opted for the slightly more traditional hinged lid version of the range which is similar to equipment he has used in other shops and finds easy to use, however new features such as slide out fat collection drawers under the chip and scrap boxes make life easier!
The result has been a complete transformation with a fantastic modern look, and business is evidently increasing dramatically whilst gas bills are set to drop by around 50%!!
