The Elms Nursing Home Aylesbury
Built in the 1970’s the original Elms Nursing home had to be demolished due to structural defects. Hopkins worked alongside Bramall Construction in the rebuilding of the care home to modern standards complete with a commercial kitchen.
The commercial kitchen design was developed to be suitable for all the catering requirements of the residents. Hopkins had plenty of kitchen space to work with enabling the commercial kitchen design team to produce a kitchen capable of the demands of volume and production.
The commercial kitchen installation consisted of heavy duty cooking equipment including a ten grid combi-steamer, boiling tops and two electric cookers. Ancillary equipment included upright and under counter fridges and freezers, an under counter dishwasher and commercial microwaves. Hopkins also supplied vast amounts of storage racking and stainless steel fabrication.
Hopkins project management team ensured the commercial kitchen installation was completed in accordance to regulations both on time and on budget.
Once all the catering equipment was installed and commissioned staff training was provided to ensure that all staff where able to operate all appliances. On completion Hopkins supplied all instruction manuals with every piece of catering equipment supplied to ensure on going best practice.
