The End of the Soggy Chip?

Malt salt an American invention claimed to put an end to soggy chips after they had been soaked in vinegar. Malt salt is a powder form of both salt and vinegar that aimed to change the traditional British fish and chips.
British chip shop owner Lefteris Eleftheriou has been conducting his own experiments and after three years hard work has come up with a condiment that looks like salt and tastes like vinegar. Taken on by the multinational corporation Kerry Group the product is said to contain a third less sodium then regular salt.
Will the British version change the fate of the soggy chip? The Leicester BBC news thinks it might.
